Valencia’s Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo, has presented refurbishment projects for two symbolic buildings with a total investment of €8.5 million to the regional judicial authorities. These buildings are occupied by the High Court of Justice and Valencia's City of Justice.

Both projects will be financed with European funds from the JESSICA Initiative (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas), a project by the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and the Council of Europe Development Bank that will provide financial aid to urban regeneration and development projects.

These FEDER Funds will enable Justice Department, Public Administrations, Democratic Reforms and Public Freedoms to carry out a series of energy efficiency projects over the next three years for an approximate value of €2.5 million. These activities will mean substantial improvements to livability and comfort and allow significant savings of up to 20% on electricity bills.

The buildings are in Benidorm, the City of Justice of Alicante, Novelda, Quart de Poblet, Vinaròs, Xàtiva, Villena, Nules, Segorbe, Ciudad de la Justicia de Castellón, Sagunt, Elx, Paterna and Elda, among others. Work will be done in all these buildings to improve climate control, lighting and thermal insulation of the façades.
